CHEM 2220 - Quantitative Analysis
Quantitative Analysis is an introduction to the theory and methods of gravimetric and volumetric chemical analysis with a brief introduction to instrumental methods. Topics include the statistical treatment of data, fundamental principles of solution chemistry, chemical and ionic equilibria, activities and ionic strength, complexation reactions, and the fundamentals of electrochemistry, electrodes, and potentiometry. Analytical methods include gravimetric and volumetric analyses and an introduction to spectrophotometry. Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: CHEM 1120 with a grade of “C” or better. 4 Credit Hours - 2 Lecture Hours - 6 Lab Hours (Variable) Note: * Course designed for transfer.
