SWRK 1020 - Professional Values & Ethics
Professional Values and Ethics examines personal, professional and social values and teaches skills necessary for making ethical decisions in the professions of social work and social services. The course focuses on core professional values, principles and ethical standards that are the basis for understanding ethical issues, examining possible resolutions and their potential outcomes and addressing ethical concerns in relation to the roles of students, client, professional, social worker, and supervisor. Malpractice risk and liability issues will also be covered in this course. Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: READ 0870, ENGL 0870, or appropriate entrance scores. 3 Credit Hours - 3 Lecture Hours (Variable) Note: * Course designed for transfer.
