AVIT 1320 - General Fundamentals II
General Fundamentals II will instruct the student in mathematics and physics for aviation. The student will learn privileges granted to Aviation Maintenance Technicians, Authorized Inspectors, and Repair and explain the legal limitations of each category of maintenance airmen. The student will also learn how to select the appropriate Type Certificate Data Sheets for an aircraft and its engines, locate all of the applicable Airworthiness Directives and Airworthiness Alerts, and locate and adequately use manufacturers9 maintenance manuals and service bulletins. The student will learn to use precise measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers, etc. Various types of aircraft inspections will be covered and students will learn to perform an aircraft weight and balance calculations. Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: ENGL 1010, MATH 1010, and EDUC 1030 3 Credit Hours - 2 Lecture Hours, 2 lab hours Note: Course not designed for transfer.
